RE-RELEASED IN 2021 with 9 NEW TRACKS “FROM THE VAULT”

Red refers to Taylor Swift’s original 2012 album, released under her former label Big Machine Records. It features a mix of country and pop sounds, marking a transitional phase in her music career. However, since Swift didn’t own the masters of her early albums, she decided to re-record them to regain creative and financial control. Red (Taylor’s Version), or Red TV, released in 2021, is that re-recorded version, entirely owned by Taylor. It includes all the original tracks, but with updated vocals and production, as well as several previously unreleased songs “from the vault.” Beyond the sound, Red TV also carries symbolic and emotional weight, representing artistic ownership, maturity, and a reclaiming of her work on her own terms.

 The last track All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault), or ATWTMVTVFTV, describes the lingering pain and vivid memories of a past relationship, blending detailed storytelling with raw vulnerability. Its imagery, like the famous “scarf” motif, captures how heartbreak can feel both intimate and cinematic. The 10-minute version on Red (Taylor’s Version) expands the story, adding new lyrics that deepen its emotional impact and narrative complexity. Taylor also released All Too Well: The Short Film, which is a 15-minute piece that runs with the song in the background while telling the story through the actors Sadie Sink (Taylor Swift) and Dylan O’Brien (Jake Gylen)
